Slip into story…
At Drollerie Press we find good fiction transformative. Our lives are shaped by the stories we’ve been told, and by the stories we choose for ourselves. Recognizing, then, that we are constantly exposed to stories that shape us—who we are, where we come from, what should matter—we have become fascinated both by the stories themselves and what each particular story says about us, the tellers. As a result, we have ended up here, focusing on the publication of mythic fiction—in particular, the stories we choose for ourselves.
We publish transformative fiction, which we define as fiction that uses the super-ordinary to tell us who we are, were, or who who we can be—tales of creation and dissolution. Most of it is cross-genre speculative, mythic, slipstream, new weird, fantasy, paranormal, magical realism, mystery, science fiction, romance and/or horror, but we’re always open to something new.

Reviewers and Reviews
Disclaimer: We are not related to–or likely even acquainted with–the individuals or organizations who own/manage these sites. The criteria by which we chose a site for listing here include: that there were no pop-ups and/or that the advertisements weren’t distracting, that it didn’t talk to us, that it was clearly organized and readable, and that it provided quality reviews. Print and electronic reviewers are listed, professional and amateur, and all genres. There are many more review sites out there that would fit our criteria and we are not averse to listing them, we just don’t have the time to go find them. The romance reviewers listed are only a very small portion of those available. If you’d like to see a review site listed–especially of any under-represented genre–please send us a link to support @ drolleriepress.com.

Alien Dreams by John Rosenman
Captain Eric Latimore leads a four-person crew to Lagos to investigate a previous team’s mysterious disappearance. Once there, he discovers that an ominous alien presence is invading their dreams. Each member of his crew has the same dream–huge, seductively beautiful “angels” speak to them telepathically.
The creatures strand his crew on the planet and only Latimore can free them–if he survives.
